Song of the Soil

Life stirring, rising through layers
Domain of worms and moles
Mushrooms spreading over acres
Scent of herbs and soil

Forest and desert, mountain and field
Colors green, brown, and grey
Life is the power that nature wields
Until the embrace of our earthy grave

She sustains us and she feeds us
From the bounty of her love
Protect and nurture her we must
And worship at her sacred groves
