Elemental Prayer

I praise thee Water,
And ask for the powers of
Love and compassion,
The emotions that bring my life richness.

I praise thee Fire,
And ask for the powers of
Passion and motivation,
The will to see my plans through.

I praise thee Air,
And ask for the powers of
Intellect and communication,
The mental acuity to always find my path.

I praise thee Earth,
And ask for the powers of
Stability and abundance,
The firm foundation from which to build.

I praise thee Spirit,
And ask for the powers of
Spirituality and wisdom,
The breath of the Gods that gives us life.

Not STRICTLY a poem, but I think I’m enjoying writing prayers.  There’s a nice flow to them, and they’re something I may actually use in my practice.  🙂
