When asked what I learned after thirty years of nursing practice I replied immediately “gratitude”: grateful first for being in my sixth decade of life with full range of motion in every joint. I am also grateful for all the people whom I have met who live with sometimes horrific disabilities and limitations and yet continue to express joy and join in the dance whatever way they can.
It’s all about perspective. Sometimes when your body doesn’t work the way it’s supposed to, you find other things to enrich your life. <3
